Late 19th-Century French Copper Chaudron | Brass Handles
A substantial late 19th-century French copper chaudron, handcrafted with dovetailed seams, a rolled rim, and original brass side handles. Rich patina and decades of honest use have given this vessel the warmth and character found only in authentic French country homes.
Suggested Uses: Beautiful for displaying bread boards, rolling pins, wooden utensils, dried botanicals, or seasonal branches, or kindling and firewood. Equally striking beside a fireplace or sofa, filled with soft blankets, or standing alone as a sculptural statement in a French-inspired kitchen or entryway.
Condition: Never tinned. Displays honest wear consistent with age and use, including age-related cracks to the rolled rim and one small pinhole in a crease. Please review all photographs carefully.
