A wonderful French earthenware pot, circa 1900, with a full rounded body, raised foot, twin handles and an extraordinary deep green glaze. Its form suggests it may have been made near Castelnaudary in the Languedoc region of southern France, an area known for its beautiful glazed pottery. The rich color and aged surface give it a marvelous presence.
Condition: Condition is consistent with age. Expected glaze crazing and wear, including losses around the rim and foot, with interior wear from generations of use.
Dimensions: 6.5" Diam. 9" handle to handle 10" H
